With all that is going on in my life I have been irresponsible with my blog and I am sincerely sorry.  Summer is here and family is in and we are out.  I recently finished my Doctorate Dissertation, which was accepted and I am now a Doctor of Metaphysical Psychology.  Now I can truly life coach at the level I feel comfortable with.  With all that said lets get active.

Before I begin my tirate I would like to say I consider myself a radical middle-ist.  I believe the solution to the average american delimas lie in political compromise and I for one am tired of both political parties more concerned with party platform than average american needs.  I am provoked to respond to the recent passage of the Health Care Bill.  I am certainly aware of the need to build a fair system in achieving basic health care.  I am aware that basic health care provided by the Canadian government comes with a tremendously price tag and should not be the responsibility of a government.  I would have approved of any bill agreed upon by all concerned. 

I see political egotism a destructive direction and the demise of "We The People."  We were all made in the image and likeness of our Creator, which evokes a tremendous degree of imagination and creativity.  We should be utilizing our financial prosperity to direct further financial prosperity and not in supporting poverty and a lack of productivity.  If we continue to rob from the rich in order to give to the poor we continue to support poverty.  I would love to see our government remove all socialy destructive legislation and replace it with socially successful and stimulative legislative direction.  We should support corporations that achieve success through supporting the success of their individual employees.  We should suport individuals who are trying to advance themselves and not support people in their escape from self responsibility.

We should develop a fully internet driven free education in order to allow anyone a fair and equitable education necessary for their ultimate potential.  I would be willing to support anything that is supportive but supporting non-supportive behaviour is sending our tax dollars down a black hole.  Let us all join together in leading our country by examples of personal responsibility.  Too many citizens have acquired an attitude of entitlement.  As a metaphysical minister I am aware that my present reality is the byproduct of my past thoughts and my future is dependent on my current ability to be responsible for my thoughts and the actions that follow these thoughts.  I fully here now and am willing to take full responsibility for my life which opens my life up to unlimited possibility.

Addictions

Being an addict myself, I understand the phrase, "You can see what the addiction is doing to them; what you can't see is what the addiction is doing for them."  An addiction is an illusion of comfort we find in whatever we are addicted to.  A substance, a behavior, even a thought process can suffice in distracting us from our discomfort.  The problem is that the discomfort comes from a lack of spiritual attachment, or a lack of conscious contact with God.  Be aware I said a "conscious" contact and not a mere contact. 

Consciousness is mind functionality.  Our mind functions on many planes or frequencies.  All thought vibrates at once and the thoughts we perceive are the thoughts we are focused on at any given moment.  If we are unable to differentiate from these multiple thoughts we are considered insane.  People who can differentiate from these thoughts but lack control of keeping these thoughts separated are considered average.  The people who learn to differentiate between and conquer their thought process for whom there is no earthly description.  These are the people for whom most of us admire.  It is the study of the science of thought that allows us to understand what separates the few that rise above the many.  I would like to take a few minutes to help you understand what I am trying to explain. 

The lesser frequency of our thought processes are known as subconscious thought.  This thought is our memory, constructed from our past experiences.  This is where we have developed habits.  Habitual thought manifests habitual behavior, which manifest as our present life.  I have coined the expression "living in automatic" to describe our habitual nature.  This part of our thinking process is where our psychological theory has been primarily stymied.

The middle frequencies of our thought process is known as conscious thought.  This is what  Eckhart Tolle calls the Power of Now.  The conscious mind is a clean fresh canvas, provided unlimited parameters and allowed an undaunted outcome.  This is the page most motivational and inspirational people are trying to put you in preparation for your ultimate potential.  The problem is that the conscious mind is constantly being overshadowed by the subconscious mind as it has been with us for our lifetime and although it is normally at odds with our growth it is habitual or automatic.  The religious term "judge not" is to help us see when we are being controlled by our subconscious self as there can be no judgment from the "now."  

Conscious mind is not merely the only portal for change; it is also the only route to the highest form of thought, which is known as superconsious thought.  Superconsious thought is what has been known forever as intuition or inspiration.  This thought can only be found deep within ourselves.  Superconscious thought can only be realized in a state of now without distraction.  These distractions demonstrate as mental chatter coming from our subconscious mind and our five senses heightened in the now.  It is the need to separate ourselves from these distractions in order to realize superconscious thought, from which meditation has been developed.  More religious factions call this superconscious thought "God Consciousness."

Now that I have set the stage I would like to continue on my insight in addictions.  Addiction is a sensitivity to superconscious thought.  It is almost an insanity as it is sensitivity coupled with ignorance.  I use the term ignorance as once I was enlightened to my superconscious self my life has never been the same or as religious people call, "born again."  Once one has tapped into the superconsious plane a psychic change occurs.  Instead of being driven to distraction one is pulled into focus.  I have devoted my life to helping people conquer their humanness in order to leave the finite subconscious mind, cross through the now, and bask in the infinite.  It is this that leads me to leave all of you with...

No matter what the question; the answer is always God!

Could the possibility of a simple resolution to the woes of our planet exist?  Could the varying degrees of anguish we all experience have the same resolve?  Could we be sitting on the greatest discovery in Earth’s history?  Although I believe the individual answers to the array of difficulties we encounter may vary, the solution is identical.  The solution to every difficulty know to man is God. 

The answer does not lie in our millenniums of following a vague religious understanding of God.  The answer lies in the awareness and adherence to the true perfect nature of God, the nature we commonly recognize as love.  The lack of love, or God, in our human experience creates a void.  This void is identified as fear.  Fear centers itself in all the distress on our planet and is to blame for all the suffering within the human experience.  Whether physical, emotional or spiritual involvedness, fear is always the culprit.

“We were made in the image and likeness of God,” is the basis for spiritual awareness.  Before we were embodied in our current human form we were free and pure spirit.  Both then and now we abide within God’s spirit, therefore pure love.  Our overall goal in life must be Nirvana if we are to live a life of contentment.  Nirvana is a result of achieving the education concealed in our final lesson, concluding with the total awareness and respect of spirit through our human personification.  Our true self is the spirit absorbed into our bodies like liquid absorbs into a sponge and not the mere vessel that it occupies.

The void that develops through allowing our soul to separate from the love that is God, demonstrates as fear, although fear is actually an illusion as all God’s universe is love.  Developing a trust in God is the essence of our lesson of human experience.  Trust sheds truth and light on fear dissolving it instantly.  It is not our duty to understand God; it is our duty to trust it.  

The only way to bridge this breach in our relationship with God is through prayer and meditation.  This spiritual talking (prayer) and listening (meditation) creates a relationship and awareness of God both within and without.  Our faith is demonstrated in our manifestation or life.  If we have faith, we will be happy with our lives and if we lack faith it too shall be evident.

Innovation

I often wonder what the world would be like if each of us were to live our lives to their fullest extent.  What greatness would become of this world if it was not hindered by prejudice and injustice?  Our social culture and climate limits individualized self expression in exchange for emotional comfort. 

Since children we have all, at some level, been stifled by criticism and repression.  We have been fed with words like can't, shouldn't, won't and don't to name merely a few.  We have been held beneath the umbrella of others fears until we have learned to dread the nourishing rain of innovation.  We have been regulated by society and political correctness.  We have been informed of our limited abilities and convinced that our dreams are invalid.  We have been bound to accept life as we have always known it instead of teaching us all to think beyond what is known.

Innovation is a term expressing manifestation of free spiritual thought.  It cannot be suppressed by fear doubt or any preconceived idea of what truth looks like.  Innovation is propelled by inspiration and intuitiveness.  It is new, fresh and truth filled.  It is good for all and accepted by few.  People died for the innovative thought that the world was round, not flat and traveled around the sun and not to the contrary.  Innovation is necessary to dispel consistent and fuel success.  Innovation moves us closer to finding our ultimate potential, which guides us in a broader understanding of our heritage in God.

To become innovative we must open our minds.  We must release all prejudice and live by the spiritual law, "Judge not and ye shall not be judged."  This Law of Judgment can only be practiced in the NOW.  There are three levels of thought; subconscious, conscious and super-conscious.  Subconscious is our ,"automatic", conscious is our, "NOW", and super-conscious is our spiritual or "intuitive channel." 

Most of us live the majority of our lives in what I call, "automatic."  When we are in automatic we do what we have always done keeping us impervious to change.  Living in automatic leaves no room for intuition, inspiration or innovation.   When we live in the middle of out thought process or in the NOW we stay accessible to both our sub-conscious and super-conscious.  This allows us to stay aware of the mistakes of our past so as not to make the same mistakes and still stay open to new fresh thought.  This is like keeping the inlet and outlet of a lake running free in order to keep life in the lake.

I pray for the realization of a world comprised of six and a half billion people all performing at their best.  Where we would not need to take care of anyone, we would merely give each other a helping hand in order to help each other and ourselves.  Finding the need and needs of ourselves and each other is the price we must pay to achieve lasting freedom.  The price of freedom may be high but it beholds confidence, courage, passion and happiness.

I pray that we all find our intuitive channel and discover our true self.  We are all made in the image and likeness of God and are in our own way each perfect with at perfect cause in order to behold a perfect effect.  All spiritual law is not only a good idea but a guaranteed road to greatness.  Find your spirit and let it go.  Watch it soar, rising on each gust of life to new heights, looping and swooping in playful utilization of new found understanding and power.   Most of all remember…

Choices

Many people I speak with seem to believe they are at the mercy of some outer circumstance.  They feel powerless.  Nothing ever seems to be their fault.  They are victims. To all who believe this I beg of you to reconsider your preconceived ideas.  We are not victims; we are volunteers.  In fact, using less energy than you are using now, you can create a life that will at least meet, if not exceed, your ability to imagine.

As the title to my upcoming book, "Made in the Image and Likeness," suggests, we are all spiritual descendants of the same power and intelligence from which the universe was created.  We have tremendous power at our disposal to create any life we choose.  It is important to realize that although this power is at our constant disposal ,it does not come without considerable responsibility.  We must, no matter how our life turns out, take full responsibility.  For us to have full use of the power we must take full responsibility for it's outcome.

It is also important to note that the power to which I mention does not originate in us.  This power initiates from the same source that all power originates, which I call God.  As children of this power, we have spiritual DNA of the host.  This DNA resides in our soul.  It is the combination of this spiritual DNA and our physical DNA that holds all of mankind as one.  It is a result of spiritual DNA that we have God's power traveling through us.  We are not the actual energy source, merely the conductors of the energy.  We are not the creators but are the co-creators. 

God individualizes equally through each individual on the planet.  Individualization is like cutting a pie into eight pieces and each piece being a whole pie.  No person on the planet is any more or less susceptible to the power than any other.  You may doubt this as some people seem to be abundant of power, while others seem void of any power.  Spiritual power is like electricity in a wall as it is controlled by a switch.  This switch for spiritual power is our free will for those who have learned how to utilize this power and free won't to those who seem to lack access to this power.

God doesn't choose who will and won't have access to an immeasurable amount of power; we do!  God supplies us with hope.  We fan that hope into faith and practice faith until we have trust.  Trust opens us to the conductivity of the power.  Applying that power to our goals and plans allows us to let our lives happen instead of trying to make it happen.  Dream, trust and march through life fearless and confident that whatever the Universe has in store for us greatly exceeds our own imagination.  And above all else remember...

Welcome to Dr. Ek's Vision.  It is my contention that together, although we may not be able to change the world, we can change the way we envision it.  In the philosophies of Zen, life is best described as follows, "We don't see life as it is; we see it as we are."  We must continuously aspire to greatness if we ever hope to achieve greatness.  If we don't believe we are great then we have accepted ourselves as mediocre.  If we accept ourselves as less than that which we were created, our soul informs us through our conscience that this is unacceptable.  The byproduct of accepting the spiritually unacceptable is that we find ourselves irritable, restless and discontent.  It is this spiritual malcontent or as I like to call it "our insatiable hole," that we will have until we have achieved our true identity and become the image we were created to be.  It is this assertion that was my point of dissertation for my doctorate and will be the title of my new book, "Made in the Image and Likeness, The Key to Greatness."

Before I bore you with my ramblings allow me to express my sincere gratitude for you having followed me to my blog.  I have change my format from newsletters to a blog in hopes of stimulating enough controversy whereas you will all take a more active role in your lives and bring to this blog a forum of discontent.  Please refrain from foul language and rigid opinionism and remember one of my quotes, "Criticism without Cure is Criminal."  I look forward to reading your remarks and hope you will help me to make this a popular place for positive and uplifting ideas we can all use in raising ourselves out of the mire of our social injustice.  Once we adhere to spiritual perfection social bias begins to change.  Even if change doesn't reach society, our own growth is certain.
